People and Spaces
After taking a college history of architecture course I wanted an easy to read reference, the course text being like the Yellow Pages. I found this gem in the local library and purchased it for a good reference course. I would describe it as a book intended for high school seniors....wonderfully containing most of the aspects of the history or architecture but on a very readable level. This is a book to own if you are interested in ancient building structure and the cultures that built and occupied them. ADdresses all the classical periods. Great book!

Yes, covers many Middle Eastern countries.
I love to cook Mediterranean food and this book has it all. Lots of new ideas, especially with salads. Good coverage of Middle Eastern food. I could probably retire most of my old cookbooks. Great helpful hints from the test-kitchen. Who knew that massaging fresh kale made it more tender? First time I had ever heard of doing that to kale. Harvested it from my garden and it was great. Can't wait to try some new recipes.
