Best Spokes for Disc Brakes
1 of 1 found this helpful SAPIM FORCE 2.2/1.8/2.0. If you are running larger disc brakes, like 180 or 203mm these are the spokes for you. Most spoke technology is based around simple spinning and braking forces and fatigue based on Road bikes, Cylocross, BMX and the like. None of these disciplines use large disc brakes with alot of traction at high rates of speed down hill, performing shredding and popping turns on huge wheels that put unbelievable lateral stress on the wheel and extremely high rates of torque down at the hub, during heavy braking. Force spokes are triple butted for this specific reason. They weigh less than straight gauge spokes and just a smidge heavier than RACE spokes. These spokes are the bomb and they come custom cut to length.
