Just the upgrade I had hoped for!
I love Nikon's and the D5500 did not disappoint. The camera is exactly as advertised and in very good condition. The 35mm lens is fully functional with absolute great optic quality. I took the gear along with my previous 18-135mm zoom to Orange Beach AL and got many absolutely fantastic stop action wildlife photos of dolphins and pelicans with sharpness and detail that was amazing. The 35mm gave me great landscape photos of the beach, sunrise, sunset, as well as great family photos. I could not be more pleased!
