great quality meets sketchy design
No question it is of typical great quality...the lack of vibration is awesome! Where it falls short is the keyless blade lock; I have had it let go of the blades in mid cut no less than ten times in two days of use. When it gets into a mild bind, it will let go...really aggravating. if you are a lite user, likely won't be an issue, but I've heard similar results, so likely just a bad design. I wish it was the old blade lock with a key.

Great ultra low-cost mids and highs in a single package. Convenient!
These speakers, for the money, are a great buy, so long as you have a sub in your system. I have built many high-end stereos over the past 20 years, and currently have two systems comprised of of Diamond Audio components (Hex competition) JL Audio handling the lows and amps, McIntosh Labs doing the processing. I know a thing or two about building a system, I guess is what I'm saying, and these speakers, for 90 dollars a pair, are quite impressive for mids and highs. They will take some healthy continuous power for long periods of time on a boat, and not dump a tweeter. Remember though, you will roast a 600.00 component set if you send it 50 watts of dirt, so I cant attest to how they will hold-up with a doodoo signal and source. Absolutely worth the money if you plan on adding standalone bottom. If these are the only speaks in your system, they will be heartless, harsh and ting your music to mush.
