Smooth Velvety Vocals!

This is really a very nice easy listening collection of some of her best work. Surprisingly her remake of Alabama's "The Closer You Get" is a real stand out track... of course "All Time High" is simply unbeatable... I love her version of "I'd Rather Leave While I'm In Love" but if you heard Dusty Springfield's version you would prefer Dusty's. Ultimately it's got everything you would expect... exceptional classic vocal deliveries from one of Pop Musics finest! FIVE STARS

It's all beginning and all end but no middle.

This movie is extremely well acted by both the main characters. I can only give this 3 out of 5 stars because it doesn't show the disintegration of the relationship. It only shows the happy beginning and the miserable ending. As a viewer your left to fill in the blanks for yourself and kind of guess what went wrong with relationship. I mean it could be 10 reasons why the relationship dissolved but they really don't say why exactly. And that's why I have a real problem with this movie. It's all beginning and all end but no middle. You see the characters fall in love and Out of Love with no real explanation as to why they fell out of love. Is it the mundane routine of daily life? Does she secretly still hold a candle for the father of her child? It kind of makes you think of the female lead as not a good person because this man has done everything for her including help her raise a child that's not even his. There's even a scene in it where it feels like it was heavily borrowed from The Notebook which rubbed me the wrong way. Honestly I should only give this movie two stars for terrble plot but the acting was so good I have to give it 3.
