Cool in theory, while it lasts
The sound is great for the size, and it is very durable. I have seen them dropped, run over with a bike, and submerged in water, without being phased.
However, the reason for buying these was for their linking capabilities. Specifically, multiple people carrying speakers during a group bike ride. It is cool in theory, and works well some of the time, but there are constant issues with the 'slave' speakers losing connection and becoming choppy even when they are well within range of the master. Even during tests with both speakers sitting still in my apartment, the connection was choppy.
Finally, after only about a year of owning 2 speakers, both of them no longer hold a charge like they used to. The battery life used to be around 4 hours at max volume (as advertised) with multiple speakers connected to each other. Now I use them one at a time or don't bother at all, because they both die after 20-30 minutes with a full charge.
I will be looking into replacing the batteries, which looks like it is difficult.
