Non-standard switch that works only with other Ubiquiti products
4 of 7 found this helpful The problem is that the passthrough PoE is specific to Ubiquiti devices and will not work with devices that support PoE standards like 803.2af and 803.2at. Unfortunately, the camera that I bought this for, doesn't work with the passive 24V PoE that this supplies. Looks like it is an outdated product built for in-house devices only.
Ubiquiti should update all their devices to support standards, both the switches as well as the devices that take the power from them.
Otherwise, a solidly built device that seems like it would fulfill the weather-resistant claims that it makes. A shame that I cannot use it.
