Not suitable
The spring bulges out in the middle, making it difficult to fit smaller dia. outer coils, i.e. the clamp forks are not long enough. Also as the spring coil slopes down the two fork ends of the clamp can't fit, instead it slips down. Not suitable. Tried to get it to work and struggled for two days and gave up.
