Dad's Army
1 of 1 found this helpful I remember watching this as a child but it has taken this long for me to really appreciate it and understand exactly why my Dad never missed an episode! The first series is black and white and looks rather low budjet but that doesn't mean it's not worth watching. It sets the scene for the rest of Dad's Army as the characters are slowly introduced. It gives a real feeling of how things were at the time and although it comes with a lot of laughs you can also feel how true to life it was. There are some extra's which include stills of the episode and an in depth study of one of the characters, which is brilliant. The lost episodes are grainy and the quality is poor but apparently they were found in a shed or something so it's no big surprise. Again, I was glad to watch is as it was rather than not see it at all.
