Everything is great about this set except the lid...
I love this set and have already used it multiple times to boil water and cook soup and even cheesy instant rice with chicken from a pouch. The lid is less that perfect but one could live with it. As far as frying something on the lid it all comes down to lubrication and heat control. If you can get enough olive oil to keep the fry pan lid lubed and keep the heat from getting too hot it could work to even fry an egg, but it wont be easy. I tried to heat water in the main pot and use the heat from the water boiling to cook my egg and I ended up with less than stellar results. But the nice thing was that everything cleaned up super easy so I'm still a happy camper. Titanium is great and the pot size is perfect; get one, overall you wont be disappointed.
