Do a compression test before changing the coil.
This part functions as designed - no problem. Would buy again. The mower problem turned out to be a stuck intake valve with a bent pushrod causing only 1 cylinder to produce power.

Quality machined with only .002" lobe variation.
My 1970 Chevy C20 350 .040 oversize forged flat top 9:1 comp ratio Isky 270 runs better with my Pertronics D104600 than it did with the stock points distributor and with an MSD with the multiple spark box. The right vacuum and centrifugal curves right out of the box have this engine running like new with 56000 miles since I built it. I really like the lobe sensing 1181LS ignitor mine came with vs. the 1181 . I'm using a stock Delco Remy coil. Nice product. Great value. I hope it lasts. Time will tell.
