American Flyer Defender to the rescue!!!
Great AF set from 1959. It is desirable, had lots of play value, and just looks great! Once serviced, the engine will run great, and will add serious cred to your layout. Recommended!

Shimano Stradic 3000FI Fishing Reel
2 of 2 found this helpful I actually have this reel in another size, and love it. I bought THAT reel three years ago, and it's still going strong. Shimano reels are very good quality, fairly affordable, and are easy to use. They feature many of Shimano's latest technology, which helps me worry about reeling in that fish rather than how my reel will perform—it is more like an extension of my hand. I won't list all the info here; for a summary of the features, check out their website. I can only say that the reel has performed flawlessly for me, I've gotten many great fish with it, and hope to be using it for a long time. I also have the Saros (another really good reel), which is just below the Stradic. The Stradic has one or two extra features, and I think they are worth the extra dollars if you can shell them out. If you are a casual fisherman or just trying it out, you may not want to spend the money, but if you are really into it, and want a comfortable reel that doesn't require a lot of attention, that will perform out on the water every time, this is the one...
