I had to cut the groves deeper into the gear, file them until I could put the unit together without the drive gear (metal, not plastic) binding because the grooves in the new brass gear weren’t deep enough. Also, not sure if it is a brass gear, or just brass colored. It looked like steel. With modification it worked, so a good value compared to the $1600 General Motors wants for a complete track unit (three motors included).
