Too loose
it’s okay if you need a Square-1 and can get it really cheap, otherwise it is too loose and sloppy. It turns awkwardly and the pieces squish together.

It’s good but not the best quality
The Super Square-1 is a fun challenge and harder than a regular Square-1, but it has it’s issues.
For one thing, it can get pretty loose after a single round of scrambling and solving. That’s not horrible, but it does feel a little sloppy at that point.
A bigger problem is that the design and cut means that whenever you have more than 4 edge pieces (the little slices) in the same face, then it gets crowded and won’t turn properly. You can see this in some videos of people solving it. The regular Square-1 does not have this problem and can be turned smoothly and easily. This feels like it is going to break when you try to do some moves (and in fact, edge pieces can end up popping out).
Unfortunately it seems that (for some reason) this is a flaw in all Super Square-1s since I have seen it like that in every video regardless of the brand.
That said, if you can get it cheap, then it’s a standard addition to any collection.

Very cheap, but can be fixed with a bit of lube
Perhaps not surprisingly, this is very low quality. It turns very poorly (it at all), and the eyelet screw from the keychain quickly comes out, rendering it just a little cube. Both problems can be fixed however. To make it turn properly, you *must* apply lubricant. Use a good silicone lube and turn it in all dimensions for a while and it will turn much better. Also, break it in for a while to get it to stop locking up. As for the screw, you can replace it with a slightly larger eyelet screw.
Overall, it's very cheap, but for the price, it's still worth it, especially if you put a couple of minutes and a few cents worth of lube into breaking it in.
