Maxima Mat Eyehole Issue
The mats look great and seem to be of good quality (haven't had them in long enough to judge how they will hold up), but here's the one problem I had with them. I have a 2009 Maxima which these are suppose to fit and they do somewhat. However, the eyeholes that the floor hook is designed to go into doesn't fit the floor hook. I had to literally cut the floor hook down on both sides in the front to get it go good through the eyeholes in order to keep the mats in place.
I was initially of the mind to just send them back but as I begin the think about I came to the conclusion that all the newer mats most likely have the same eyeholes in them as they apparently made them smaller and the floor hooks smaller when the made the newer mats and newer model Maxima's. Would have been nice to know this before I made the purchase as I might have them looked for mats that were made when my year model came out and purchased those if possible.
