I served 7+ yrs. in the Marines & 11+ yrs. in the Navy. Served aboard the ships: JOHN F. KENNEDY; RANGER; ORION; & NEW JERSEY. Lived overseas in Japan, Norway, Denmark, Philippines, & Italy. Authored the Navy's corrosion control plan for the LCAC Hovercraft. I was injured & retired as a Navy CPO (Damage Controlman) and now I am living in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. I ve been a coin & dachshund collector since 1962, when I was 9-yrs. old. I ve researched & written articles on coins over the years. Past dachshunds were Jenny, Mokka, Olga, Timmy, Nadia, Yogi Dogga, & Opie (R.I.P.) Currently, have Tatiana (15) & Kaspar (14). They are the origin of my eBay User Name! This is as good as it gets!!!
This is one of only three known coins of this issue certified by NGC in MS68. 3,200+ coins of lesser quality exist between NGC & PCGS. This coin is a "must-have" for top Registry Set holders. The chances to own such a coin are few & far between & this is indicative of how major coin collectors & dealers are now listing their finest material on eBay.

WITH PREQUEL, "WINDS OF WAR", THE BEST WWII MOVIE SERIES OF ALL-TIME !!!
5 of 5 found this helpful I remember watching each & every episode of WINDS OF WAR when it debuted on ABC back in the early 1980's. I was ecstatic when I learned that the sequel, WAR & REMEMBRANCE, was to go into production. What I didn't know was that I would end up in the movie!!! In 1987, I was stationed aboard USS NEW JERSEY (BB-62) as Repair Division CPO. The production crew was aboard for several days shooting scenes. I was supervising the maintenance of a fire station in the vicinity of gun turret #2 when I was captured in a scene on the main deck in DVD #10 of this series.
This series is a Great Value, because of how it makes your soul feel...which is priceless! The complex nature of the story, combined with the diverse cast, make it appeal to a very large demographic. I was skeptical at first with the casting changes from Winds of War, but fell in love with the replacements as the series rolled along. The research for this series was handled spectacularly. The winding of these characters into history was masterfully done. I rate this series right up there at the top with all-time classics such as YANKEE DOODLE DANDY, starring James Cagney. That is hallowed ground!
