Electrical plug with switch

This is a handy item to have and has multiple uses. It can be used to operate any device that has an extension cord but lacks an integral switch. For example, I use one to operate a potable lamp and another to operate a battery charger. The one from Powtech seems to be well made and is rated at 15 amp capacity. I like the lighted toggle switch that is easy to see in the dark.

Quality has gone down.

I first purchased a White Mountain freezer about 45 years ago. It lasted a long time before finally giving up the ghost about 4 decades later. I purchased another just recently and am a little disappointed. While the bucket appears to be well-made some of the mechanical parts are not as good as they used to be. The crank/handle mechanism is made of a type of cast iron that rusts easily. My old one lasted for 40+ years and never rusted. It did discolor some but didn't rust. I purchased the old-time cranking handle and it does not work well because the bucket is designed to be used with the electric motor. Instead of the cranking handle being securely fastened on both ends it just slops around back and forth. It would work OK with an electric motor but doesn't really work with a hand crank.
