Waste of $$$
Purchased new then died 18 months later, garbage.
I'm told this model has a problem with the power
circuit board and over time it burns out. Must have been the case in my monitor.

A lot of features packed into one small package!
1 of 1 found this helpful The DCR-SR80 is coming up on 10 years since it's first release and in that time digital camcorders have become more advanced and even smaller. But make no mistake about it, the SR80 can still hold it's ground and if your
patient you can pick one up fairly cheap ($50-$100) compared to the original MSRP of $899. It does not record in HD but the video quality is excellent and with a 60GB hard drive you've got h-o-u-r-s of record time at your disposal. 5 Stars, easily!
