Hauppauge tuners are great!!

The Hauppauge 1250 series of tuners work great! This particular 1250 is VERY small...great for a very small machine. I'll just modify it to use a normal size mounting bracket since I prefer normal sized motherboards, cases, etc. I use Mythbuntu and/or Xubuntu with MythTV, but there are a variety of OS's and recording software you can use. Hauppauge also has their own software you could use. By the way, you could even record two (or more) TV shows simultaneously with just one single tuner card like this 1250. That's just one more little thing for new users to play with. 8-)

I usually find GOOD STUFF on EBay. Like this time!!

I've had them for about a week now. Both tested out perfectly and both are now installed. Since I always burn BD-R's at the lowest possible speed, I have no idea how these drives (or my older ones) record at higher speed. I just reminded myself - I need to order another hundred or so discs. I'll go do that RSN (real soon now)!!
