Fender Rumble 500 2x10 500W Bass Combo Amp
    Sep 18, 2018
    Best in category.
If you want more than a practice amp, one that's suitable for gigging, but not with high-end pricing, the Rumble 500 combo is a good choice. It can support an external cabinet, which boosts its output from 350w to 500w, and it's got a nice range of tone, including a clear, punchy bottom end and (if you're into it) crunch as well. It's also light-weight and portable. If you need to kick up the volume further, mic it or run it post direct through the PA. The only real drawback is that the volume of the Low Z out is affected by the main settings on the amp, rather than there being some sort of attenuation control on the back. I've done a lot of comparisons with other brands and models in this range, and this beats them all.
Rockville RXS20 Portable Mixer Stand - Adjustable Height and Width!

    A good stand within limits
If you have a mixer or a mixer in a flight case this is a decent stand. If you have something heavier, such as a mixer in a case with additional gear - sucha s a 10U x 4U case, the extra weight can be too much for this unit. This is because there is no lateral support / x brace. I have such a mixer case and when the stand is expanded to just under the width of the case the thing will sway from side to side. It is actually more stable if you keep the stand collapsed to its narrowest width. If I were the manufacturer I would have had the horizontal braces mount at complementary angles, They would have had to be longer, which would have hiked the price but it would have been well worth it. Don't try to adjust the width when it is carrying a load. The wing tighteners at the ends can work loose and the support can pop up and out at the wrong moment. Also note that set up is not as fast as you might think. You have to balance one side piece and one crossbar at the same time, while tightening it down. Unless you have three hands, it needs to be leaned against something while you tighten it. As for "folding flat", it doesn't fold at all. It breaks down into four pieces. If I were the manufacturer, I would include a cordura wrap-around sleeve with velcro closure to keep the parts together. For me, the swaying is a disaster waiting to happen. I'm trying to figure out a way to add lateral support while still being able to break it down for easy transport. My final assessment is that this is a great solution for mixers weighing 30 pounds or less. Do not put anything heavy on this, particularly when spread wide, for if it were to sway too much it could collapse and take your gear with it.

A $6 piece of foam that does what it is supposed to do.
The round part goes up, the flat part goes down, The microphone goes in a hole in the ground. New York, New York, it's a heck of a town.
