Stephen King the Stand plus Langoliers/Golden Years
2 of 2 found this helpful Two hard to find movies in one,the Langoliers and the Stand plus the very campy and just plain silly fun of Golden Years all in one set. The Stand is of course, the premiere epic movie about good versus evil with tons of interesting overtones and undertones.If you liked the book, you'll like this movie,too. It obviously cannot be as involved as the novel, but stays pretty darn true to it for a miniseries.The Langoliers is King's thoughts on time travel and how " unglamourous" it really would be-plus the ubiquitous heroism thrown in for good measure. Golden Years is just plain fun...predictable,over the top, with bad guys so bad they're laughingly stereotypical, and of course the ever popular theme of a " change of heart"...no spoilers, ya just have to see it but it's definitely NOT a typical Stephen King film. This set is great to round out your King collection.

The Notebook dvd

this is a wonderful story adapted from the novella of the same title. Yeah, it's a chick flick ,but I know a guy or two who secretly loved the movie, and the acting is spot on. Not overly mushy,with humorous moments throughout and although you pretty much figure out the entire plot by the first ten minutes, it somehow doesn't spoil anything at all.
Gena Rowlands and James Garner's scenes are all that they could be and the connection between Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling is fantastic.
Without a doubt, one of the top romance movies of all time without being a tired cliche. You gotta see it!

cute idea for first mother's day.
great mother's day gift. only wish was that the spaces for the pictures were a larger size or at least different sized, as the weird 2.7" squares require one to cut up a picture and the subject must be perfectly centered. other than that it was easy to use and came together quickly.
