Solid refurbishment, but battery life needs to be improved.
For those of us who want to pick up an iPod classic without paying the ridiculous gouged prices that are starting to pop up all over the internet, this is, on the whole, a solid substitute at a fair price. The operation of the iPod is as it should be, and it all looks very nice.
However, I would question how "new" the allegedly "new" battery is in the device. One of the reasons I needed a new iPod classic was because the battery on my old one didn't hold a charge for very long. While this one is an improvement, for sure, it also doesn't last nearly as long as a new battery should. With all of my previous iPods, I could undergo a week of regular listening before needing to charge. With this one, I need to charge it every 2-3 days.
So while I'm happy to have a fitting and reasonably priced replacement, I also wish that the battery lasted as long as a new battery should. That being said, this is probably still preferable to paying double or triple the price of a new iPod classic (e.g. 400-600 dollars).
