Typical "iii Pus" but zero scratches on this one!!
I have a few of these for various projects around the house and also use one on my motorcycle with the velcro strip. I did receive this and the screen showed "low memory battery" .. no biggy - just install 4 new AA batteries, power it off, and let it sit overnight. Whamo! Worked for a few days. Then, I couldn't get it to come on -- again, no biggy as I have the cigarette lighter cable that came with a boxes set. Works again -- however, I can no longer use it just on battery power -- it is one of the major flaws the "iii Plus" has had with each one I owned. I had sent one of my others in to Garmin and they replaced the internal battery, but they no longer perform the service. And, I don't lose saved items, so this one isn't due to that. I can still use it on external power, so I'm not too worried.

They called me and made sure what I was getting and took the time to ask me questions about what I was buying the camera system for. After asking me certain questions and making their suggestions, I feel totally confident that this was the right choice for me! Thanks, J&K Cameras! (Brooklyn NY)
On to the camera - this camera isn't intimidating at all! It's an upgrade from a Panasonic Digital Camera. It's a bit heavier than my old camera, but the 75-300 lens is much lighter than the 28-80 (to me at least). I had gone thru the .pdf version of the manual while waiting for the shipment, so a lot of the features I could use once it arrived.
I needed a manual focus lens, and everyone gave me their suggestions. But after reviewing the Canon EOS 8Mp, I just had to get one for myself! Can't wait to get out there and take more photos and compare them to my old digital in all types of settings and everything (which my old camera left me disapointed at times)
