Nice engine
1 of 1 found this helpful Nice detail on engine, especially the torpedo tubes. Proto is known for their quality products and decently appointed detailing. Bad about these early models is they often had cracked gears, and the GP7 engines required a special low wattage decoder to avoid burning out the light bulbs, but all this is very fixable, by replacing the gears and installing LEDs. Overall, very nice engines.

nice product for the money
I purchased this set and was pleased to see that it came with the accessories, including the charger and a adapter for regular batteries. It is a nice set with everything I think you need.

InterMountain HO plastic cars
InterMountain cars has some of the highest standards of any plastic HO train models They use genuine Kadee couplers and InterMountain steel wheels to assure realistic operation and low rolling resistance. They normally build a car in 6 different numbers to allow the modeler to have more variety on their layout while being able to pull a string of similar cars and add to more prototypical operation.
