This was bought to use only the remote a...

This was bought to use only the remote as a second unit for a fan already in use. I followed the "learn" instructions and it was easy to program to control the fan on my loft. Nine times out of ten I wouldn't notice that I had left the fan or light on up there until I reached the bottom of the steps. This worked perfectly! Bonus: Now I also have the unit for in the fan itself as a spare, just in case any of the other ones should fail.
