This is my first GPS unit, I purchased a factory refurbishment.
1 of 1 found this helpful Refurbished unit, would not boot past first screen until it was connected to a computer and maps were loaded to it which took about an hour over a high speed connection. A new unit might be ready out of the box as is advertised, but the refirbs may not always be, but otherwise unit is nice.

Works just like I expected, easy to install.
Install this pep board on my bird 43 and it works just like I wanted, it was fairly easy to install, although I had to remove and reinstall the switches to have them move in the positions that made sense to me, I would like to see a plug made for the open hole left on the other side due to not being able to store a slug in the unit anymore, but for the money and it being preassembled I consider it a good value.
