Audio2000'S AWM6014U Professional UHF Mobile Wireless Microphone System-New,O
    Jul 12, 2017
Solid alternative to high-end systems for a basic user
I did extensive research before landing on this Audio 2000's wireless microphone system, since I wasn't interested in spending $400-$600 on a high-end system, yet I wanted solid quality in an easy to use, portable, wireless mic. My primary use is for small group or solo music gigs, for vocal and usually one instrument. For small group gigs, I have a Fender Passport system. For solo in a small room, I have a Behringer AT100 amp. Having tested the Audio 2000's system with both amps, I can say it passed with flying colors. Three notes: First, the headset included works fine, but I opted to spend $70 for the AV-JEFE AVL-670SP Earhook Mini Headset Microphone (3.5mm plug). This is also an excellent, lower-cost alternative to spending $200-$500+ for the higher-end, similar (low visibility) headset mics. Second, for my Behringer amp, no 3.5mm jack exists, so I have a simple 3.5mm to 1/4 inch adapter plug. Third, in addition to normal volume controls, I worked with the gain and volume controls on the Audio 2000's units (transmitter and receiver), which are located under the battery covers. This was an important and helpful discovery, to get the volume level correct, without feedback. Overall, I can strongly recommend the Audio 2000's AWM 6014U system.
