I have seen a lot of negative reviews regarding these gates and certainly there is always bigger better quieter etc. It seems most come from the recording side which I understand. But for live music the old school way,(real musicians playing real instruments), they come through real nice. Its a brick an mortar unit for sure. A good rooster will crow in any barn. If it sounds bad. It aint the gate.
