When selling with PayPal you must now have a SSN attached, this has been standard practice since PayPal and Ebay split nearly a decade ago. The seller could also have linked a bank account to receive their funds. I have also sold and shipped high dollar items while having funds held for 30 days, this isn't something new. Seller definitely did the bare minimum on this sale.

Just what I needed
I have the Leofoto Ranger LS-224C, they fit perfectly and lift the tripod a bit, I use them when I need to shoot on beach sand.
Just don't take them to an airport

Great tripod with one awful flaw, if it wasn't for that it would be perfect.
This tripod is incredible light weight: about 1.9 pounds, when fully folded it gets even smaller than the way more expensive peak design, I'm a traveller and this tripod fits like I'm carrying nothing, however there's is a flaw that may not bother some people much, but is a deal breaker for me, the feet are removable, but the screw thread is 1/4, Leofoto does offer other feet options, but they are all 3/8 which is bigger. I understand that due to the size of this tripod Leofoto could not make it with bigger screw threads, but at least either they offer smaller feet or an adapter so that we can use the bigger ones.
