I've used oil products but haven't tried...

I've used oil products but haven't tried the paste until now. First I cleaned a catchers mitt with a damp cloth and gave it a few minutes to dry. Then I applied the paste as directed. The result left a nice sheen which dulled after a few days. I've since cleaned two more gloves with similar results. These are older gloves ~25 years old. They are now much improved. I plan to donate them to those in need. Thank you!
