A helpful way to learn the language
I've used Living Language twice already--to learn Italian and French, and now Spanish. It provides a very good platform on which to build, and the combination of being able to hear the dialogs, phrases, and words is essential unless you really want to sound like a foreigner trying desperately to use the language. Admittedly that's less of a problem for Spanish than for Italian or French, as Spanish pronunciation is more straightforward.
You just have to remember when dealing with any materials designed to help learn a language--you have to stick with it, set time aside on a regular basis (daily if possible), and you have to give yourself extra time to work on memorization of words or (better!) phrases.
