Excellent Swedish detective series, beautifully acted and awesomely acted.
I've seen three different actors portray Wallander, two of whom were excellent.. Of those two, Krister Henricksson stands out as one of the world's greatest actors. In Wallander series, the plots are twisty, acting superb, sense of being there is strong, and the main character is the city and the country. Whatt amazing shots.
The series features creative photography that enhances the entire producton, and directing honors go to more than one excellent director.
For me, this is the best detective series of all, in every area, and Krister Henricksson is by far, the best actor around.

One of America's Greatest Essayists is Joan Didiion
One exciting bit of life after another keeps the reader transfixed, and resenting any breaks in reading for things like sleeping, or eating, or working. An amazing compilation of Didion's finest work including what amounts to a history of the Sixties in the title essay, "Slouching Towards Bethlehem," and a great essay on John Wayne as well as essays on other human interest tales.

It's a book of jokes in German. Very funny for dinners with German friends.
Full of anecdotes and jokes in German. Germans have a marvelous sense of humor and these jokes will be much appreciated by our German friends.
