Easy-to-use device without any fuss
1 of 1 found this helpful While initially being weary about an unbranded product, I decided to try it out. With well-shielded Monster-brand Component and Stereo R/L Cables connected to the adapter, this device introduced no noticeable interference in the conversion to HDMI.
It's robust, compact construction made it easy to conceal behind a TV, and its ability to be powered from a TV USB-port is a nice touch.
I tested the adapter on both a Microsoft Xbox console and a Pioneer DVD Player, and both functioned beautifully. I love this device; it fulfills everything I asked it to do.

Great Video Quality... Terrible Audio Quality
1 of 1 found this helpful Although I must say that original Xbox games have never LOOKED so good, I cannot recommend this adapter, as the RCA audio cables seem to be of subpar construction, seeming to lack much of any shielding, and thus generate an annoying buzz that has been audible on multiple stereos, and even the TV speakers themselves - regardless of volume level.
Perhaps it may be worthwhile to test your luck with one of these adapters, as they're so cheap, and there's a chance you may simply get lucky and find a good one; however, as a one-stop, solve-all solution to obtaining a Component adapter for your original Xbox, I would not recommend this whatsoever.

An Impressive Digital Optical Cable!
ECHOGEAR's 6' Digital Optical Audio Cable is a terrific value for the money, providing amazing digital audio to my current stereo receiver without any fuss.
The build quality is quite good, and the cable length was perfect for my setup - not too short, not too long.
This product is above and beyond what I'd expected from a cable at this price, I'd definitely recommend it!
