Train Dispatcher 3.5 Software Simulation Game

Buggy, but still fun.

This product is "abandonware" and is completely unsupported. I'm not even aware of an online user group. The program is somewhat buggy, especally the more complicated territories. These bugs usually mainfest as sections of track that are out of service or vanishing trains. It can get annoying, and while some problems are fun to work around, it can get frustrating. That said, I bought the program knowing these defects. (I had it once before but lost it in a drive crash.) It remains an entertaining program, and has taught me a lot about how to manage heavy traffic (hint: identify the pinch points and manage to them). With the bugs, I can't offer an unqualified endorsement, but it's still the best dispatching simulator I'm aware of, and is worth the price to me.

My second-favorite mouse (after Mickey).

I'm doing mostly text editing, so the five-button feature is of great help to me. I've had one of these for over twenty years, and have actually worn out the wee switches inside, plus the scroll wheel no longer clicked. I bought both this one and another for a spare. A quick search showed only the $300 gaming mice also have five buttons, so I hope to stock up on these until something better appears.

Excellent product, does need the guardra...

Excellent product, does need the guardrail flangways narrowed a bit for more reliable operation, but that's an easy task.
