A unique plot as always the case, with Gervais playing the role of a wannabe actor, who is destined to get the most pathetic and inconsequential roles, as he desperately engages with his incompetent, unproductive agent to find him worthy roles

Hellish Nightmare

Apocalypse Now is by far the best depiction of the hell and madness of the Viet Nam War. The special effects and ride down the Nung River on the patrol boat is a surreal experience and like being on the River Styx or, as it sometimes referred to, as The River of Hell in Dantes Inferno. I can only imagine that having a bad trip on acid must be comparable to being a combatant in Viet Nam with one major difference-- The nightmare experience in Viet Nam was Real. No wonder all the soldiers were high on drugs. There is no way anyone could have made it otherwise. The madness and horror culminates in the portrayal of Colonel Kurtz, played by Marlon Brando. Charlie Sheen, in the role of Captain Willard, does an outstanding job as a soldier, who is so consumed by the war that it has changed him completely, as it has Captain Kurtz. He is unable to acclimate himself back into civilian life and re-ups to complete a mission of insanity on Kurtz who has gone mad. Willard is not that far from edge of insanity and the movie implies that Willard could very well end up like Kurtz.
