NOT the funniest movie of 2013. Not even close.
0 of 6 found this helpful USA Today's Scott Bowles must have seen only one comedy in 2013. Granted, 2013's comedy offerings were a plethora of unwarranted sequels, remakes and just bad ideas in general, none have been worse than this horrible buddy cop film. Bullock's character is boring. McCarthy's character is crude, obnoxious and just really not funny. The only likeable and humorous character was McCarthy's character's mother, played by Jane Curtain, who's only in the film for about 10 minutes top. If you still want to check this film out, I suggest skipping the DVD and getting the Blu-Ray combo pack. It has hilarious commentary from Mystery Science Theater 3000 alumni Joel Hodgson, Trace Beaulieu and J. Elvis Weinstein and they make watching this terribly unfunny film laughingly bearable as they lampoon it from start to finish.
