Stock type water pump won't fit this cover

This cover is really neat but there is no recess for the water pump sit in-soooo I will have to make some kind of 3/16 spacer or something-I guess they designed it for an electric water pump-but I am using the stock type pump-none of the info was mentioned in the listing.
