Blew the capacitors in my kenwood

I blew a high Voltage capacitor on a TS 570 kenwood..there is nothing in the instructions that the meter gets it’s ground thru the coax..when I touched the connect to the radio it sparked and blew one of the high voltage capacitors in the radio
