Celtic Thunder''s first concert doesn't disappoint!
Celtic Thunder has accumulated fans from all around the world! They have a sound that is all their own, and they have maintained & improved that sound for more than a decade, even with different singers replacing those who have gone. THIS DVD IS THE RECORD OF THEIR FIRST CONCERT, the first time the world discovered them, and it continues to be MY FAVORITE! It was made before the untimely death of George Donaldson, that amazing bass with good humor that just spilled out of him. And Damian McGinty is such a treat at barely 14 years old-- he exudes talent, but is still self-conscious and humble, and so fun to watch! There's an interview with the original cast, giving the viewer insight into individual personalities, and the dynamics of the group as it was just launching into to world. Observe reactions in the crowd and you can figure out the singers' family members. Watch closely--no, you can't pick him out! A future favorite in the group hasn't been discovered yet. Neil is playing guitar and only singing back-up. If you're already a fan, you'll love this DVD! If you aren't yet a fan, you might be one after watching! This is a wonderful show!
