Good for the money
I read other reviews before buying and they generally said what I have found also. The quality of VCR recording is very good as is playback. The options are adequate for our casual use. Plan on buying a Radio Shack universal remote the SONY one is cheesy. This is a combo machine that is not a star but not a dog either.

Exactly as advertised
The HP 8000 Elite tower I received is better than advertised. It is in perfect condition and all features are present. The price was excellent for this particular computer but the delivery speed with no extra charges were incredible. I ordered on a Monday and expected delivery on Friday. It was delivered in excellent packaging on Wed!
