Parts were too tight to work.
This did not come with any instructions or diagrams which would have been very helpful as the terminals are different than my original.
The major issue I have is the fiield coils are thicker than the original and the armature will not fit in there without driving it in. I have taken it apart, honed out the inside of the starter trying to gain a little room, taken the four metal plates and tried to reduce them a little, but the end result is it is just too tight. I did get it together but somehwere there is a short now.
I wish the filed coils had not been thicker.and not really sure what else I can do short of replaicng the starter now.
Mine is 1952 John Deere B.
