Speaks for itself.
The actors are superb. The costumes and setting are impeccable. The plot is sincere, makes you feel just like you were there with all of those people or wish you had been. Very authentic. If you want to be transported back to the late 50's early 60's in the African American/Hispanic American neighborhood to see and feel what it was like, watch Lackawanna Blues.

Good title
I was specifically interested in the murder of Det. Martin Bilnitzer because of his connection to Rose Cheramie aka Melba Christine Youngblood. She was not mentioned in the book and I'm not sure if the co-authors even knew about her. This book is important because there are not many written about Martin Bilnitzer, but it spends more time on the other police officers involved in the HPD drug scandal than it does on Bilnitzer. Interesting read though.
