Solid Performer
2 of 2 found this helpful Perhaps not as feature rich as the later Syncserver range, but these are rock solid performers as a no-frills NTP server. The GUI is limited to monitoring basic status data, but you don't often change settings on these so that's not a huge compromise. A reputable seller will be able to take screenshots showing the unit locked to GPS time with good satellite reception when they test the unit. Therefore if the listing doesn't include that info, proceed with caution as they probably haven't tested it or it doesn't work as it should. Also make sure that the seller has reset the password back to the default settings and has unlocked the front panel as you don't want the hassle of hacking into a locked unit. The latest firmware version is v8.4, earlier versions may not perform well. Needs a 12V antenna.
