Grand collectors item
For anyone interested in this school of writing and the famous films adapted from these works, this volume is like a wonderful greatest hits book. In earlier times, many of these works were quite hard to come by but here they all are in one high quality edition!

O Henrys Full House DVD

Nice, nostalgic film
Not a great film, but a great video presentation. The multiple episodes, each with a different cast and crew, are, not surprisingly, of variable quality (the first and last, IMHO, are best). However, the dvd itself, containing historical commentary and numerous featurettes on author O. Henry (William Sidney Porter), along with two interesting early silent short film adaptations of the author's works (sans music, however) is quite marvelous. One warning: though Marilyn Monroe, rather early in her carrer, is billed with the stars, her screen time is roughly 90 seconds! (This writer was called away for just a small time when first viewing this film and missed her altogether!).
