A good phone, but phone but not for everybody.
This phone has it good points, and bad ones. It does work OK. The voice quality seems good. The volume could be a bit louder. It does seem well built, and sturdy. The user interface is another matter.
I find it difficult to use. The text is small, and hard to read. I have to navigate the menu options just to use the phone. There are several other things I find annoying about it. I realize this is personal preference, but it seems to me that Sonim went out of their way to make the phone difficult to use. The battery life seems adequate. Not as good as my former Samsung, but OK. I haven't had it long enough to know how well it will last. The flip phones I have had in the past had a problem with the flip going bad. This one does seem a bit better constructed. Time will tell.

Requires a bit of a learning curve.
I got this to use as a grain fill on a mahogany electric guitar body. A little goes a long way, to say the least. I found out the hard way that it must be applied very thin. Since I am using it as a grain fill only, I have to sand back down to bare wood. Once it sets up, it is very hard. I sands well, but it takes a lot of sanding. I had a run, which has proven very difficult to remove. Scraping with a single edge razor blade works well. The mix ratio doesn't seem to be too critical, and guessing at the mix by eye seems to work. Though it might take more than one coat on some very porous woods, one is sufficient for mahogany. I am not a woodworking pro, but this product seems to fill the bill of a grain/pore filler. The main thing to remember is to apply it very thin, working it into the grain, and as evenly as possible.

A good little access point.
This thing just works. What more need be said? The power output is adjustable and adequate for most applications. This is actually the 3rd one of these I have bought. The first suffered water intrusion and quit working. The second, I put in a piece of PVC pipe to keep the water out. After a couple of years, it quit. I found the problem was actually that the network connector had oxidized. After a couple of insertions, it went back up the tower and is working well again. I wish they had better receive sensitivity to give more range on my puny phone and tablet. About the only down side to these is the lack of detailed set up instructions. You have to go to the Ubiquity website and do some reading. Even then, I had to fool around with some of the settings to get it to work well. I think they are over priced considering what you can buy from China these days, but when you get something that actually works well and has truthful specs, unlike a lot of the Chinese stuff, I shouldn't really complain. Ubiquity has been around a while and I feel I can always depend on them for a product that does what they say it does. I recommend the M2HP.
