Inspirational

Early one this devotional helped to reshape my thinking, and along with the Bible completely changed my perspective and life. The theme is twofold, a message the Lord deepens all our lives. First, we need to stay close to the Lord, to practice the presence of Jesus in our lives daily. Second, we need to love others. Christianity at its core is that simple. A must read for pastors

Many years ago this book was given to a dear friend of mine by his mother. He passed it on to me in Bible College. From an exegetical perspective Keller's insight as a real life shepherd are invaluable. His knowledge opens up Psalm 23 like I have never seen before. As a pastor for a number of years, now 60 years old, this Psalm, and Keller's running commentary shows us what we are to be about. I believe it is a must read for young pastors especially, but everyone will benefit from it. The pastor should view it as a job description on one hand, and on the other how God cares and loves him as the Great Shepherd. The latter is why it is encouraging to whomever may read it, a great encouragement. Lord bless ... stvg (1John 3:23)
