Variable Pan Drag Control Makes it the Best Bang for the Dollar!
I love the Manfrotto MVH502AH Video Head. It is very high quality and has never let me down. I rented the head a few times from rental companies before buying it, and I have had no regrets since. It is made of high quality parts but the thing that differentiates this head from others is that it has a variable pan drag to it. Most other heads at this price only support tilt drag with a pan lock, but no variable pan drag. This helps a lot when the content being captured changes from slow to fast or if the weight of the setup also changes. The quick release plate is very hefty and robust, and i am not afraid to put my expensive equipment on it.
The size is a little large for compact run and gun, but if that doesn't concern you, you can't go wrong with this purchase!
All in all, you cannot beat this video head for the price and reliabilty.
