Nice idea. Not the best execution, but still much cheaper and easier than running Cat 6 cable.
The "quick set-up" instructions were basically worthless since they lacked any real specifics like what port on the router to plug the ethernet cable into. Also, as noted by several online reviewers, the unit blocks the other receptacle in a duplex, so it really needs two pass-thru outlets, not just one. Lastly, the unit keeps putting itself on "standby" and I have no idea how to make that stop. If NetGear wants to come out with a great upgrade (IMO), they should develop one of these that has both an ethernet port and wifi capabilities in a single unit.
