Very Sharp Carl Zeiss lens for reasonable price
Good Zeiss lens for reasonable price, bought to use it on a Full Frame Canon camera. My impressions, pluses and minuses: + colors; + picture; + price; + excellent sharpness; + perfect sharpness on frame sides and in corners, really one of the best; - manual focus; - to use on Canon cameras requires adapter C/Y - Canon EOS; - if you use C/Y lenses on Canon, often it requires manual exposition compensation depending on aperture; - you can get a vignette on open aperture, especially if you use a lens filter. Summary: Good and non expensive 50mm Carl Zeiss lens. Excellent for landscapes: sharp on frame sides and in corners, also perfect sharpness when focus is near infinity. Of course very good for full-length portraits (Full Frame cameras) or half-length portraits (APS-C cameras). And again: colors are incredible! P.S. I recommend to use with a lens hood, otherwise in some conditions (side or face light) you can loose contrast.
