Maverick with a Badge!
James Garner lands in a gold rush town where inflation could leave him broke in a couple of hours. Too indolent to take a real working job, he accepts the job of sheriff where all his predecessors have been shot dead or run off. He makes Jack Elam his reluctant deputy and immediately arrests Bruce Dern (less than bright member of an outlaw family) and throws him in jail for murder- a brand new jail where the bars haven't arrived yet! Walter Brennan is the head of the outlaw family. Everything you like most about these great comic actors is here. Wacky situations, perfect comic timing, Garner (think Maverick) finding creative ways to avoid violence. The supporting cast are all good, and there is even a pretty girl (Joan Hackett) to provide romantic interest. I have never laughed so hard or so often at any movie!

A disappointing blood bath.
I bought this DVD because Wayde Preston was in it. I also usually like James Garner. Now I know why Garner said this was the worst movie he ever made--it's the worst movie I ever saw. As far as I could tell, at the end of the movie everyone but the title character was dead, and I wanted to reach through the screen and kill him myself.

Excellent performance
This is a high-powered microwave that heats food quickly and surprisingly evenly. Its 16 inch turntable accommodates the largest dishes I would ever want to cook. The clock is easy to set, useful here where power outages are frequent.
